Getting from Charles de Gaulles airport to the hotel Pavillion Bercy Gare de Lyon? |
Travel Info What is the fastest, cheapest way to get from Charles de Gaulles to the hotel Pavillion Bercy Gare de Lyon? (at around 8pm on a weekday). Also what is the most convenient way to travel from this area around Paris bearing in mind I am only staying there two nights and have so much I want to see! Travel Tips Take the RER B (the commuter train) and change at Denfert Rochereau to take Metro line number 6 (direction nation) to the Dugommier metro stop. (I assume, since you didn't give the address, that you mean the hotel at 209-211 Rue De Charenton Paris 75012) Others the metro is afast and cheap way of getting around paris get the central bus out side the airport its cheap and its just as good as taxis Definitely the metro. DO NOT TAKE A TAXI! Taxi's take the long way around. Everyone uses the Metro. Most hotel websites will tell you which Metro stop it is near. Metro stops are only a couple of blocks away from each other (in the city). From Charles de Gaulle to Gare de Lyon, take the train, it's direct and the departure is in the airport itself. And to circulate around Paris, take the metro, but if it's not too far, I would advice a nice walk. The city is beautiful and there's always a surprise at a corner of a street. Definitely worth the little exercise. Bon voyage I think it's the train stations where "youths" riot. If you are a woman traveling by yourself, you should take the shuttle. I'm not sure what is going on with the riots but North-east of Paris isn't safe anymore (lived there for over 15years). The shuttle will take you to downtown Paris or some might drop you off near you hotel. |
