Travel Tips Try to decorate with french flags, or use Blue White and Red as decoration (in order) As for music, find some edith piaf or charles trenet song, it will make an ambiance Have fun ! Others Invite lots of snotty french people. Black and white is very Paris. Everywhere you go, people are in black and white. if you are serving food, write in fancy penmanship in black what you are serving. Red or pink roses are very Paris. They are everywhere. If you ever take a honeymoon, or romantic trip out there, the hotels usually showr rooms with rose petals. Another great touch is silver candlesticks, and tons of them. Big, bold black and white jumbo sized prints of Parisian architecture (cheap at Ikea!). I've seen a great Eiffel Tower wire menu card holder - tres chic. You could decorate with just the food you server. Multi-tiered platters of chocolate, cheese and grapes. French wine bottles. But definitely black and white stripes. Love it! p.s. wear a beret. raspberry red. Something showing Frenchmen surrendering. This sounds FUN! Maybe you could decorate it to resemble a Parisian cafe at night. Cover the walls with posters of famous sites in Paris 鈥?the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Notre-Dame, famous bridges, preferably at night so they are lit up. Position the posters as if they are the views out of the cafe' windows. Set up lots of pretty iron rod tables and chairs with small vases of fresh flowers on each table - like a French cafe. Set up an easel in the corner with a black chalkboard listing the menu for the party. Maybe some small French flags laying around too. Some ficus trees with tiny white lights on them in the room will to the ambiance. Don't forget the French wine, food and music. Bon App茅tit and have a great time at your soire'e! |
