Travel Tips
Book it now if you can get that price still, for what it offers the price is good for Paris, you'll only get really low-quality stuff for less.
Metro stations: 芦 Max Dormoy 禄 (line 12) : 350 metres and
芦 la Chapelle 禄 (line 2) : 350 metres.
You're about a mile from the Sacre Coeur and 2 miles from the centre.
The major (possible) problem is that the hotel is in a road between the main train lines to Gare du Nord and Gare d'Est, and one road over from a major north-south road, so noise might be a problem during the day and early evening. Having said that, you're going to have some kind of noise or other wherever you are in Paris, and better a background hum than drunken yobs outside the window at 2am...which would be a problem with either of the city centre hotels given below.

By the way rillifane, if you check the hotel site you'll see that it's 60 euros per night, not 拢60. A very good deal for 20 mins on foot from the Opera.

It would not be my choice. There is nothing really wrong about this neighborhood but the 18th arrondissement is on the north side of Paris and I prefer to stay very close to the center.

Of course the Metro will get you anywhere in the city very quickly and you are only a couple of minutes walk from a Metro stop (which is true of almost everyplace in Paris).

Then again the Metro closes around midnight and Paris is a city that literally stays open all night. Dragging home from a club at 3 or 4 AM will require either a taxi or resort to the somewhat limited night bus service.

And even if you're not an all night partier (I confess that I am) staying in the center means that taking a break in your hotel room while sightseeing during the day is more likely possible than if you have to head for the periphery.

拢60 is about 88 euros and there are hotels in the center in that price range. My favorite hotel, The Hotel St. Andre des Artes, very simple but clean and friendly and with en suite facilities, costs about that much for a double. Its located at 66, rue St. Andre des Artes in the 6th arr (right at the border with the 5th) and dead bang in the middle of the city. Their website is here: http://www.123france.com/123/en/hotel.ph...

The Hotel Nesle is another good choice in the area and price range. Check them here: http://www.hoteldenesleparis.com/...

Both these places are wildly popular so advance reservations are a must and the sooner the bettter lest you find them fully booked.

.
Search the hotel under www.tripadvisor.com for honest customer reviews. I use it a lot and its pretty accurate
