I'll stay at Paris for 3 hours for a connecting train. What are the places I can visit by this time?

Travel Info
I'll go to London from Rome via Paris. I'll stay at Paris not more than 3 hours. What are the places I can visit within this time? What are the means of communication to visit those places?

Travel Tips
From London, you'll arrive in Gare du Nord and to go to Rome, I think you have to go Gare de Lyon.

So you'll take the RER line D (a big metro) for 2 stations.

You can stop in the middle at Chatelet and walk around. It's a young area, with many animation. In 5-10 minutes walk you can look at the Centre Pompidou (Art modern museum) which is already funny to look from outside. From Chatelet, you can also go for a walk to see the church Notre Dame, which is in the Ile de la Cit茅, the historical center of Paris.

Have a good trip to Rome, and a good stop in Paris. Source(s): A parisian man
Other Travel Tips
3 hrs is not that much. It all depends which train station you will be arriving and/or departing in Paris.
Take the subway to the Trocadero - there you can see the Eifel tower, les Champs 脡lys茅es, les Tuileries and the Louvre. You won't have enough time to visit those places, but you will be able to see them. It is a lovely walk from the Eifel Tower to the Louvre. And from the Louvre, you can walk to Ile de la Cit茅 and see Notre-Dame.

Three hours in Paris is not a lot of time, but you can still see some of the most famous sites.
If you wanna do something very special? Go in front of the railway station to : LE ZINC this is for me one of the most typic
"bar/tabac" of Paris and ask for " un coup de rouge"
Just do it it麓s not only good but the most important L麓ambiance
de Paris et de ces titis......
Enjoy it!
Well, as one person pointed out three hours isn't much. And to my knowledge, for security reasons it's no longer possible to store one's luggage in a locker (though I could be wrong about that). If you're coming from London, that means you'll arrive at the Gare du Nord. You might want to consider just finding a nearby caf茅 and killing a bit of time there. If you had more than three hours, and if it were possible to put your baggage in a locker, I'd of course recommend something as simple as going for a walk along the Seine (easily reached from the Gare du Nord by taking m茅tro line 4, direction Porte d'Orl茅ans, and getting off at Ch芒telet or, better yet, Cit茅).
from cdg alone is almost 45 minutes from centre paris..and 45 going back including traffic..so really..you have about 2 hours..
