Travel Info I want to live in Paris; Is 84K euro a year enough to buy a house? Travel Tips Paris property prices http://www.rentcom.info/paris-apartments... Paris properties for sale http://www.rentcom.info http://www.24paris.com Others Housing is fairly expensive in Paris and if by house you mean a single family detached residence, you'll find them in very short supply. However, a condo in a desirable arrondissement should be within your financial means at an income of 84k a year. I am assuming you are an American from some of your other questions and that you have a limited experience in Paris if any. You should be aware that French living quarters generally tend to be very small by American standards. In a densely populated city like Paris they can be quite small indeed. (probably smaller than Manhattan apartments). Then again. living in Paris makes up for a lot of things. NB: I should also point out to you that taxes in France are higher than in the United States. So if that figure of 84k euros is before taxes you may be in for a bit of a shock. WOOOOOFFFF I don't know for Paris, but with such a salary, you could buy my whole village here in eastern France!!!!!! Probably you can buy something in Paris with 84 Keuros a year. You need a credit with a bank and you will pay in some years. It is a very good salary for french people ! But there are few houses in Paris intra muros, more flats, but you can choose to live in a good suburb. It depends where you will work or where you will want to go. More you live in the west of Paris, more expensive it is ! If you want further informations about especially some places, write to me. I'm french and live in Paris, in Montmartre. |
