Twenty Somethings: Dinner / Partying in Paris?

Travel Info
Two friends and I will be backpacking through Europe this summer, and we will be in Paris on Friday 1st of June - my friend's 25th birthday. We have about 100 euros to splash out with to celebrate the occasion - maybe a bit more, but we're skint students :^)

Thing is, I have been to Paris before, but I don't know of any REALLY good places to go eat (that aren't tourist traps), or maybe even go drinking / dancing. Any suggestions would be appreciated - nothing TOO expensive (we won't be expecting to dine at a 5 star Michelin rated restaurant or anything).

We'll be staying in the Latin Quarter, on the Left Bank - so anywhere within walking distance would be fab (otherwise if we had to travel with the metro/bus, that would be fine). We're specifically thinking of somewhere either cosy & charming, or maybe more cosmopolitan / young. Dinner, drinks, maybe some dancing....

Any ideas?!

Travel Tips
Head over to Aux Trois Mailletz at 56 rue Galande (5th arr.). Its a couple of blocks south of the Seine off of the rue Saint Jacques. Have dinner, a few drinks and listen to the piano player and whomever is singing there that night. Music ranges from opera to Sinatra to Jazz to old standards.

Sorry that I won't be back in Paris until September otherwise I'd sing Happy birthday for your friend.

You'll find a friendly crowd that mingles mainly locals and some tourists of all ages. (The three old guys who are perpetually at the bar are actually Greek not French...flirt with them and they'll buy you a drink. No worries...they're harmless).

If any of you have a genuinely good singing voice, cozy up to the piano player and ask to do a tune. Tony (he's the middle aged Chinese guy by the door), is the owner, and loves all singers).

Oh, and you'll see cars pullng up all night with very flashily dressed people who head down to the basement...its a 1950's style nightclub down there. Its fun but semi-pricey so stay on the main floor.

sorry to say so but 100鈧?between 3 of you wont go far in paris.i suggest though that you go to the artscenik cafe/bar,theres a 20/30 something crowd and normally a good band playing and the price of a beer for instance is only 2鈧?its located just up the road from pigalle and there are plenty of cheapish places to eat around the area.
