Travel Tips
There are some excellent hotels near the Louvre that are good for families and in that price range. Check with a travel agent or, if you speak French, then check some French web sites.

I am trying to remember where I stayed the last time I was in Paris but I can't remember the name. It was a nice Hotel, had a gold leaf trimmed exterior and it was about 2 blocks from the Louvre. behind and to the North of the Louvre.

Just take a Taxi from the Airport and tell them where you want to go. The drivers usually speak some english and they can get you down near the Louvre... which is the part of Paris you want to be staying if you are family oriented. That will put you near the Opera the George Popmidou Center and the Royal Buildings.. It's a nice and safe area of Paris.

I always stay at the George V when I am in Paris but it is very expensive. But worth every penny!
I can recommend a whole set of apartments at varying levels. We have stayed at their apartments 7 times. Mostly around Sacre Coure (one block from the greatest bakery on the planet). Great company. Easy to work with. Difficult to book. Any property of theirs I would recommend highly. Once stayed at the Palais Royale, overlooking the royal gardens, by the Louvre. WOW! But very pricey.

I stayed at this hotel two weeks ago. It has a perfect location, at the heart of the city. There's a metro station very close. If you like walking you may walk to Champss Elysee (i did) and Galeri LaFayette.

It's a small hotel but this is very typical of Paris. If you're looking for luxury you can stay at Sofitel Paris Porte de S猫vres

but it's far from the center.

Have a nice trip, I love Paris.
