Are there any hills or mountians overlooking Paris? |
Travel Info Are there any hills or mountians overlooking Paris? Travel Tips there's a lot of hill, Montmartre probably the most famous with the Sacr茅e Coeur on top of it, the Montagne St Genevi猫ve, with the Pantheon on the top, it's smaller than montmartre, but you still have a great view of Paris if you climb the stairs of th Pantheon. The T茅l茅graphe metro station is the highest place of Paris, there are some spots in this area where you have a great view of Paris, but it's not on any tourist map. If you want to see the whole city go to St Cloud, a suburd just outside of Paris, it's on a hill and you have a great view of Paris from there too.Montmartre is a hill but it is already in town. The same with the Eiffel Tower, but it isn't a hill. Montmartre does overlook the Isle de Paris which is the original Paris, so I guess it does answer your question in the strictest interpretation. Yes. Mont Mart it is situated on a high senic hill with a church. You look out into all of the lights of Paris. Plus you can see the eiffel tower. yes absolutely, go to the hills near the cathedral sacre-coeur and you would able to see the beautiful view of paris.......ohhh i think i would like to retire in paris:) The best place to overlook Paris is Eiffel Tower but if you insist on hills, then try Sacre Coure, it has a nice view also. Sacre Coure is in Monmartre Area, you may take the metro and go to the Pigalle station, then you may go up by walking (there are also stairs) or you may use the funiculare system. http://www.parisinfo.de/images/paris-met... Sacre Coure is the name of a white Byzantian style church on the Hill by the way. http://frank.itlab.us/france_2004/les_ha... have a nice trip, I love Paris |
