Is "Greater Paris area" near the centre of Paris? |
Travel Info I am going on a cheap weekend away and the hotel is in the Greater Paris Area. I want to take my son to see the tourist attractions in Paris. Is it easy to get from the Greater Paris Area to e.g the eiffel tower? Does the metro operate in the Greater Paris Area? any advice gratefully received Travel Tips If you have the address of the hotel do a search on multimap. Paris underground stations are marked with a Blue M in a circle. Greater usually means the outer areas just outside the city centre. Others yes... Greater area...usually means the area around the city. IE not in the center of the city. But, Paris has a great metro system that is easy to navigate. Contact the hotel and ask what stop they are near, then download a map of the system from Google. Then you can decide whether it is too far out for you. PAR陌S H陌LTON ha ha.... yep greater paris is more or less the centre u will be fine. also the metro is great there, so regular, really cheap n really fast, u will have no problem. im so jealous! love paris! have a good time x I would imagine that Greater Paris area is a euphemistic way of saying it is on the very outskirts or in a small town outside Paris I'm afraid. It definitely won't be near the centre. You would be very hard pushed to find cheap accomodation near the centre of Paris... The greater Paris area is the suburbs of Paris. It depends of wich suburb you're going to, but try to look up on the RATP's side or just google Metro Paris to see if your Hotel is near a station. Have a nice time in Paris!!! Next time you should maybe stay more central. There are millions of cheap hotel's in Paris:-) |
