My girlfriend met me in paris by surprise. what to do on last day that is not touristy? |
Travel Info FYI she grew up in paris. also i do nto want to do typical touristy things. eurodisney? versailles? chateau de chantilly? i have the whole day with her. thought about going to london but too expensive. Travel Tips It depends on what she likes and what you like, It depends if you have a car or not....there are so many things to do in Paris and outside Paris. I give you some ideas : 1) In Paris, you can invite her in an original restaurant. I give just one among many : http://www.kong.fr/ It's a design restaurant (french and asiatic cooking) with a large windows from where you can see the Seine River. About 50 euros each person. After you can walk alongside the river and in Island de La Cit茅 and Island Saint Louis. Very romantic ! 2) You can go 1 day in Eurodisney ...if you like both 3) There is another park Asterix Park which in the same style but more french and generally french people like more this one : http://www.parcasterix.fr Look at the website you will understand. 4) You can go by train for 1 day in Deauville in Normandy, it's 2 hours train , or in Honfleur, not very far from Deauville, with a little typical harbour and painters. Source(s): I'm french and live in Paris Other Travel Tips go out to the countryside and do some hiking or even a picnic or maybe just walk around town and treat her to a few special things then relax at a local cafe or somethin. shack up.....some more Try this most authentic of French restaurants, very romantic, opened in 1962, housed in very old buildings, charming atmosphere and the food is exquisite: LE COUPE-CHOU at 9 et 11 rue de Lanneau; telephone 46-336869, metro stop I believe is Cardinal Lemoine (this is near the Sorbonne, beautiful old section of Paris...) Hi there, what fun! You could take the TGV [fast train] somewhere for 25 euro each direction [per person] and have a picnic. Or ... you could do one of my favourite things, take a ride on the Seine [no it's not really touristy] on the chocolate barge, drink authentic beautifully made and presented hot chocolate, enjoy a couple of hours cruising and gazing into each others' eyes :-) or go on a long slow walking tour of chocolate salons ... I wrote about this chocolate barge on my website here: http://www.a-night-in-paris.com/chocolat... Let me know if you go, and what you think ... http://www.a-night-in-paris.com/chocolat... |
