What restaurants would especially be nice in Paris for an 8 year old? |
Travel Info We've been to Paris many times but never with a child. So this trip will be unlike any of the others. What restaurant in particular would you suggest for children? Any especially themed geared towards children would be good. Travel Tips Try Bistro Romain; There are many in Paris and the food is quite good and not expensive (by Paris standards). In addition, the food is nutritious (not a Mc Donalds). They have childrens menus in English and offer crayons with color books. I am an xpat married to a french man with a 9 year old daughter. As i refuse to feed her little growing body with Mc Donalds, this has turned out to be a popular alternative. Besides, I can eat there too without getting indigestion! The menu is great, with lot's of variety for everyone and you don't need a reservation. Important with unpredictable schedules. However, if you can make a reservation it will cut down any possible wait time. They are usually pretty busy. Probably the most important is that they have a NON smoking area, which is nice so your child doesn't have to be exposed to tons of smoke. There is a "theme" restuarant in Paris, called The Nos Anc锚tres les Gaulois. Although it has a great theme and apprears to be Kid Friendly, is not great for kids. It is known for it's beer chugging patrons that smoke like chimenys! Here is a listing of Bistro Romains in the Paris area: Bistro Romain 9, Boulevard Italiens, 75002 Paris 01 42 97 49 55 Bistro Romain 26, Avenue Champs Elys茅es, 75008 Paris 01 53 75 17 84 Bistro Romain 222, Rue Convention, 75015 Paris 01 42 50 30 35 Bistro Romain 103, Boulevard Montparnasse, 75006 Paris 01 43 25 25 25 Bistro Romain 122, Avenue Champs Elys茅es, 75008 Paris 01 43 59 93 31 Bistro Romain 17, Place R茅publique, 75003 Paris 01 42 74 51 09 Bistro Romain 9, Avenue Ternes, 75017 Paris 01 47 64 17 38 Bistro Romain 5, Rue Roquette, 75011 Paris 01 43 38 71 43 Bistrot Romain 2, Rue Chauss茅e d'antin, 75009 Paris 01 48 24 51 75 Bistro Romain 88, Rue Clichy, 75009 Paris 01 42 85 40 71 Bistro Romain 9, Boulevard Italiens, 75002 Paris 01 42 97 49 55 Hope this helps. kind regards, Wendy Source(s): Personal Experience Other Travel Tips moulin rouge Mcdonald's.. same effed up taste. (which I am sure your child is used to) Can't remember its name, but the one in the Eiffel Tower is wonderful. Also, there is a very nice, considering it is Mickey D, McDonald's on the Champs Elysees. It makes a familiar stop for a child, and for adults provides a wonderful place to sit and watch passers by. My mom and I used it as an inexpensive place to stop and get warm (it was December). How about Nos Anc锚tres les Gaulois? Its a rather silly place on the Ils St. Louis that features people dressed up like ancient Gauls and troubadours wandering around. Here's their website: http://www.nosancetreslesgaulois.com/fr/... Hey. The best are the Citroen on the Champs Elysees (on the right when you go up hill) or the Renault on the other side if the kid is a boy. Those are about cars. If it is a girl I would suggest something around the Trocadero place that would offer a great view ont he Eiffel Tower. |
