Travel Info I heared from a friend that there was a place in paris where there would be many shops that sell Real famous brands products ( clothes and leather goods ) with a good price !! ... but she didn't give me the name do you what am talking about ? Travel Tips If waht you are looking for is name brands at great prices then the place to go is the French equivalent of an outlet mall. there is one such place at La Vallee Village (3, cours de la Garonne Paris 77700) where over 75 leading ready-to-wear, table ware and luxury labels offer their previous season's collections (minimum of 33% reduction (off original recommended price) and up to 60%). Its actually outside Paris but easy to get to. by the RER commuter train to the Val d'Europe station. Better still, three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays), there is a Cityrama shuttle service that goes there. Departure from the Cityrama agency, place des Pyramides, at 10:15 am and return to Paris at approximately 5:00pm. The fare is 15鈧?round trip. Reservations are required by 5:00pm the day before departure, at your hotel desk or Cityrama agency.Probably your friend was speaking about the flea market, (in french "March茅 aux puces") You have to go the metro station : Porte de Clignancourt. Don't forget you can bargain in this places. Be carefull, there are also some dodgy people around this area. There are many smaller shops with "marques d茅griff茅es" (well known designers with the labels taken out, usually from an earlier season). You have to know your stuff if you want get something from those places if you want something from a current designer because they usually have stuff from lesser know designers mixed in too. I think the place you are describing is.. the entire city of Paris. You won't find malls but small shops with name brands everywhere. Be adventurous and you will find exactly what you are looking for. |
