Paris help? |
Travel Info Do I have time to go to the Eiffel Tower if I have a 7 hour layover in Paris? If so, what's the best way to get in the city? Travel Tips It is possible, but it would depend on what day and time, remember sometimes the line at the Eiffel Tower can be a 4-hour wait. I have gone and the line was only about a 20 min wait, then another time I went it was 4 hours. It depends on the time and day and season. Others You should have time if your plane arrives promptly. Take the train (RER B) to St Michel-Notre Dame and RER C from there to Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel. It should take about 60-90 minutes each way. Here is a map . . . http://www.ratp.info/orienter/cv/cv_en/c... Just leave plenty of time to get back to the Airport. (I am assuming you are flying into/out of Charles de Gaulle). CDG can be a bit confusing. Been there, done that. Yes, maybe, you can do this in a hurry, but I don't think you have enough time to go on the top of the Tower. To see, to take a picture and..... go back to the airport. If it isn't during peek hours take a taxi directly to the Eiffel Tower, that's the fastest way (around 40 minutes) and a taxi back. With the additional time consuming safety measures at customs I don't recommand a slower trip by RER. |
