Travel Info Please advise on best restaurants (price sensitive), and must DOs for a week in Paris (May 28-June 5)? Pleas feel free to give me way too much info... i was there as a kid... i welcome being inundated with info and ideas from others experiences. Spending a week in paris for roland garros. staying near metro stop place monge. I need advice on good bakeries, restaurants, night activities, sites, day-trips, etc? Please advise as you can... thanks. I didn't mean to close this questions before - sorry. Lists are the kinds of answers i need... not guide books... personal experiences... local stuff to soak in the city. Travel Tips For sightseeing, investigate the Paris Museum passes. Unlimited access to many of the popular attractions and no waiting in lines - you go to a special no waiting entrance! Also great because you don't have to feel pressured to finish the Louvre all in one walkabout. You can see a bit, take a break , come back later. You can even make a separate stop in to browse the gift shops! (also -stop in for a meal - museum dining has taken a giant step in past 5 years!) It also includes the stunning and indescribable Ste Chapelle where the breathtaking colors of the stained glass change with each day's light. Come and go three or four times to experience it! Adult passes are about 60 euros for 6 day pass, I found it well worth the time and tiring standing on queue. The multiple visit capability allows so much flexibility! Visit top end restaurants at lunch. Prix fixe lunches include 3 courses. Dinners are more $$, and also start later in the evening (9-10) so might do dinner with street vendors and small bistros, especially in the Latin Quarter. Toasted baguettes, gyros, wonderful ice creams. Speaking of ice cream -- don't miss Berthillion on Isle de la Cite. Its a bit of a splurge, but with more than 50 exotic flavors like fig, rhubarb, caramel with salted butter, thyme and citrus, spice bread and glazed chestnut - quite a treat! One bistro to try is Deux Canards / Chex Catherine.
