Travel Info I have 4 hours in transit . whether I can visit eiffel Tower ? if yes which mode is best and how ? . Pl. suggest Travel Tips Cab is not an option as the traffic at the time to get into the city is terrible. I don't think you will have time, but if you miss your flight there will be another later in the day and one the next day. It'd be worth it to try. Make sure to time the train trip in so you know exactly how long it will take to get back out. Add 30 minutes to get from train station through security and to the gate. You can do it depending on how long the line is at the tower though I would be surprised if you had enough to go up with the waiting in line, the travel time up and down and the sightseeing time at the top. Others Hi there it will be 'tight' YES you can take the train that leaves from CDG to the centre of the city- from there you will have to take the subway to the Eiffel tower. This can take up to 1 hour/ 1h20!) EACH WAY. So there is very little time left for youto spend at the sight not forgetting that you will have to be back at the airport 1 hour BEFORE departure in order to clear security and immigration. So in fact you have only 3 hours to kill. The waiting time to get onto the Eiffel tower can be long as well. You should take that in consideration. Of course you could always take a cab and (besides being quite expensive) that can take some time as well as you will be hitting morningtraffic and that can be a pain. But - I mean if you are ailling to take a chance. Go for it..... Adventure is always fun right? Take care T For me, you don't have enough time to reach the Eiffel Tower. It takes at least one hour ! check it on www.ratp.fr. I suggest you you to stay at the airport In four hours it's impossible to go to the Eiffel Tower and back, at time, in the airport. |
