In Paris what do they eat in restaurants? |
Travel Info In Paris what do they eat in restaurants? Travel Tips In most cases the food is not, essentially, all that different than what is served in Australia. In a typical restaurant you would almost certainly be able to order a meal consisting of a salad followed by steak and potatoes with chocolate mousse for dessert. Mind you, there are other dishes which you will not likely be familair with and might find a bit off putting. For example, Tete de Veau ( a boiled calf's head) and Andouillette (a sort of sausage made from the colon and the stomach of pig with the distinct taste of excrement) are not generally suggested for the unadventurous diner. Then, of course, you will also discover there is an absolute absence of Vegamite and that the quaility of local beer is not up to Australian standards (Kronenbourg is the best of a bad lot. Get it on draught by asking for "un demi de Kronenbourg s'il vous plait) Otheriwse, no worries. Others All kinds of food. Depends which restaurant you go to. Croissants, salads, chicken, fries...they have MacDonalds etc. You can eat very French food or not. In Paris, like in most of the capital cities in the world we eat all kind of foods. Here is a link that you might find usefull. http://www.eatinparis.com/eatinparis.woa... Our prices in the restaurants are announced taxes and tips included! But if you appreciated the service you can leave a small tip anyway. i love french foods.... coq au vin, pot-au-feu, confit de canard, and entrec么te Burgundy beef Fondue, Filet Mignon aux Oignons - Gratin dauphinois,CROQUE MONSIEUR - CROQUE MADAME Souffl茅 au Fromage, P芒t茅 de Lapin, Mousse au Chocolat , hu卯tre...... and many more Hi, my favorite foods in Paris restaurants: Morrocan, Sengalese, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Jewish... Basically anything you want or need. Chinatown in the 13th arrondissement has chinese dishes that taste just like what you find in Shanghai. The African food in the 10th and 20th is just as authentic as that in North Africa or Senegal! The 19th has some really good kosher places with awesome jewish/israeli food. The sephardic jews in the 19th and 20th have great food too... My fav Sushi place, Kaitan, in the 8th is fantastic! My fav Thai place is Asian in the 8th (on george v). They have the best soup there. French food of course but I don't really like french food. |
