Wine tasting in Paris? |
Travel Info Any reconmendation? Travel Tips That is possible in any expensive restaurant or cave but best really is to go a wine producer directly (alsace or Bourgogne or Bordeaux. Others The tiny vineyard of Montmartre is the only one remaining in Paris. It's more nostalgic than productive. The clos de Montmartre on rue des Saules produces around 500 bottles of red wine annually. Look for it on sale at the tourist office and, if you're fortunate enough to be in the area of the first Saturday of October, you can join in the harvest parade and merimment. Tourist office tel : 01 42 62 21 21, daily 10-7 In Passage Vivienne (75001) there is a wine shop called "Legrands Filles et Fils." They offer regular wine tasting sessions. Be warned however, the wines tasted are of the highest quality and this is reflected in the price. Worth going along anyway as the passage is lovely.
