Is Paris, France a very crowded city? |
Travel Info I've seen it on an aerial and it looks like the buildings are so close together and the streets look very thin and there are so many streets and neighborhoods. Makes you wonder how it crams so many people in it. Sometimes I think Paris lacks open space. Travel Tips Paris is the most densely populated city of more than 1,000,000 population in the Western world. Its density, excluding the outlying woodland parks of Boulogne and Vincennes, was 24,448 inh. per km虏 (63,321 inh. per sq. mile) in 1999 official census. Even including the two woodland areas its population density was 20,164 / km虏 (52,224 / sq mi). By way of contrast Naples, Italy has a population density of 8,470/km虏 (21,937/sq mi), Madrid, Spain is 5,280/km虏 (13,675/sq mi), London, United Kingdom is 4,699/km虏 (12,170/sq mi), and Prague, Czech Republic is 2,379/km虏 (6,162/sq mi). . Others Yes but very dirty in some parts and nice in some. Well it's like NY everybody lives on top of each other. Went to Paris 4 years ago... Paris is pretty crowded, but its no worse than say New York. The traffic is horrendous though, so if you plan on driving (I personally would'nt) be very careful and pay alot of attention. I was there for New Years on 2005, so it was pretty crowded then. But nothing to really be concerned over. Also the people were really nice and, considering I am an American soldier, I was really surprised. Overall, it was a beautiful city and I would love to visit again. USO trip for New Years 2005. oh yes, Paris has so many people in it and it's very jammed together. But the people don't always drive everywhere and some people don't leave their home. Those who do, take the Metro everywhere cuz there's a Metro station in Paris every 陆 km. Some people like to live all bunched up like sardines. I was just there a few months ago. It is extremely crowded, and there are merchants everywhere, trying to con people into buying things. Be careful of pickpockets, and Gypsies(may ask you to read a postcard, and by the time you are done, your wallet is gone). Anyway, also people on motorbikes don't obey traffic laws, so be careful. But yes, to answer your question, Paris is extremely crowded. |
