How can i get to central paris from Charles De Gulle Airport using public transport.? |
Travel Info I want to get to central paris from CDG Airport so whats the best way to get there using public transport. Is there a train to central paris from the airport. Or how much does it roughly cost using a taxi from airport to central paris. thanks. Travel Tips from CDG 2 you need to go to the RER station ( between terminal 2C and 2E) then you take the RER B ( it s a White -blue red train) to paris. I advise you to check on the creen (it s on the platform) if your train is going to stop at each station between CDG and paris or not (50minutes to paris for the first one,30 for the second). the first station in paris is "gare du nord" there you can take the metro to other places, but if you want to go to central paris you should stop at "chatelet". there, you ll find a large choice of metro and you ll be abble to go anywhere in paris. if you don t want to go to paris by train, you can take the bus "roissybus" from T2F to "Opera" (perfect central paris), you ll pay about 7euros and 40 minuts later, you re in front of "l op茅ra de paris" if you want to pay a taxi, it will be really expensive (about 50euros) Source(s): I'm a french customer service agent living in paris and working in CDG! Other Travel Tips with great dificulty, sorry if unhelpful but i found it a nightmare You should look into the metro. I'm sure it is directly connected from almost anywhere in Paris to the airport. It's cheaper than a taxi and is extremely efficient - much better than the underground systems in the UK! You could probably find a map of the metro and it's stops in google. Got this from; http://www.parisdigest.com/transport/cha... 30 km north of Paris, Charles de Gaulle airport is conveniently connected 4 times an hour from 5am to 12pm to Paris downtown by the RER B metro line (regional metro system), the Roissy bus service or Taxis The RER is a high speed suburban train that takes you from CDG to Paris Nord in 44 minutes and the Les Halles in 46 minutes. I don't know the fare - but it's cheap. It's about 40 euros from CDG airport to the centre of Paris by taxi. The journey would be around 30 - 45 minutes depending on traffic. By public transport, you can catch the train from the airport (5 minutes walk) which takes you to The Gare de Nord train station for about 7 euros. That station is in northern Paris but you can jump onto a metro for a maximum of 3 euros to any destination in Paris. That would take about 45 - 60 minutes. The train and metro systems are very easy to use but you might have to speak a little French to help you get by (just a few basics like directions etc). I've never used the buses before but they are frequent and apparently they can get you into the centre for around 4 euros. I'm not sure how long that would take though. The last few times I was in Paris I booked a Paris-Shuttle Bus from the airport. It cost 20 euros but it was well worth it. I was picked up at the airport entrance and dropped off right at the door of the apartment. I had to book this on the internet and payed when I was dropped off. I can't remember the website but it should be easy to find. Hope this helps! I would go for the Paris Shuttle bus that you pre book. It is very reasonable and door to door |
