What is the apartment situation also the cost of food & all other utility's in perth? |
Travel Info we are planning to move to perth i and my wife are both semi retired please inform on housing in this area Travel Tips I have no idea about the apartment situation as I live in a 4 bedroom house...but when I was renting before we purchased our own place this year...a very large 4 bedroom house really close to the beach in Port Kennedy near Rockingham cost us $240 a week. I think the rents have gone up a bit now though as there is a boom in Perth and everyone seems to want to live here. It is a beautiful place to live though. Regular unleaded petrol was approx. 135c per litre last week when I filled up but there are cheaper areas than I live according to the fuel watch on the news. Food is relatively well priced. I just moved down from Exmouth WA where everything is expensive so I find it all very affordable. Overall, it is a beautiful city to live in...close to many gorgeous holiday areas down south...it only takes us about 2 hours to drive to Margaret River where my husband goes surfing some weekends. I live just out of the Rockingham area which is detatched from the main city and I still feel like I am in a small country town sometimes which is great for me and my kids. And it doesn't take long to get anywhere on the freeway so we are far enough away from the city but close to all amenties. I don't know if this is what you were after but I hope it helps a little. |
