You can catch the city shuttle from the airport straight to perth city to whichever hotel you choose to stay at. Dont know where else your staying in aus... but we went to sydney and Cairns and stayed in apartments in both, both were ace... heres links: Bondi Beach Sydney - 2 min walk to bondi beach and bondi junction - big shopping centre, and a bus ride to sydney centre.
