Travel Tips
Hi, since you have a car, a favorite destination is the SouthWest:
First stop in Mandurah (1 hour away) and enjoy the waterfront.
Busselton (just over 2 hours): the Jetty is great and the Underwater Observatory is where you get to see the sealife without getting wet
Another half hour away is the area surrounding Dunsborough & Margaret River for beaches, Canal Rocks, the bush, horse rides, etc. Maybe you can park the kids a while and go on a wine-tasting tour, if you enjoy that sort of thing of course!

Closer to Perth, Fremantle has great attractions (the Markets, the Jail , the Maritime Museum.

North of Perth is Hillarys Boat Harbour, apart from strolling the boardwalk shops, visiting AQWA (underwater clear acrylic tunnel where sharks and sting rays swim over your head), you can catch a ferry to Rottnest Island for a relaxing day of cycling, swimming and snorkeling. Oops, just read that you are coming in June! but depending on where you come from, you might find the ocean still warm enough ( lots still swim)

Have a great time! Source(s): a local

Within Perth and the suburbs there are plenty of things to do like bowling, skating, movies etc, however there are also many nice places to visit that are not so commercial!

Try Hillarys Marina, also known as Sorrento Quay, for a relaxing day of seaside entertainment, plenty of eating places, shops, and a mini golf park etc. Adjacent to the marina is Aqwa, which is the aquarium of WA, very interesting and well worth a look.

Whiteman Park is north east of perth, about 30 mins from city centre, and is a massive park filled with things to do for everyone, walks, bike riding, train and tram rides, an auto museum, wildlife park and a lot more. Its a beautiful place at any time of the year.

Try visiting Scitech, which is a science activity centre for kids of all ages, including their parents. Full of interactive displays and scientific experiments to try.

I hope this has been helpful!
