Travel Tips
In Perth itself you can shop in our malls. See a movie, all the things you can do anywhere else in the world.

For tourist attractions there is the Perth Mint, see them make money and purchase a keepsake.

SciTech Discovery Centre if you have children. A science adventure place. Kids love it. Adults as well.

The Perth Zoo is a ferry trip away from Perth.

The Bell Tower, also where the Ferry departs from. An interesting Perth icon.

Fremantle is easily accessible by train from the city. There is a cappuccino strip to die for. Great food and drink spot, as well as the famous Fremantle Markets. There is also a maritime museum there if you are interested.

An hour south of Perth by bus is Mandurah. There are shops, a lovely foreshore to walk along and take in the sights.

There is Hilary's Boat Harbour, a nice place to hang out, eat fish and chips and relax.

AQWA, (Aquarium of Western Australia) is another well loved tourist spot. You can see all sorts of great fish and other sea inhabitants; there is a touch pool as well.

Depending on time and budget, you could hire a car and drive to Busselton. It is a few hours south of Perth. It has the Busselton Jetty and a viewing platform at the end of the jetty.

From Busselton, it is a great base to explore Margaret River for wines, chocolates and fudge. On the way to Margaret River there is a place called Cowaramup that has a candy store called Candy Cow. Brilliant. There are also 2 cheese factories along the way.

Hope this helps Source(s): I live in WA.

Other Travel Tips
If you're doing any day trips, take a run down to Margaret River. Lots of vineyards, cheese and chocolate makers, nice restaurants.
Fabulous part of the world. Make sure you get some of the strawberry champagne.
come to south australia instead perth is boring
You could go and say hello to my sister for me.
Lovely place- there is the freemantle jail; go find a resturant and have some baramundi fish; you can hire boats naturally - check out the harbour for more unusual boats. Go down south (rent a car) and go climb the treetops!! yeah I'm serious - you climb this walkway and its so tall it covers the trees - don't be scared of heights though its kinda wobbly hah! You can also climb a tree - it's so tall you have trouble seeing the top of it!
Go to coral bay it's up the coast from Perth, magical palce it's on the Ningaloo Reef, lived there for 3mts, fan bloody tastic!

Check out Kalbarri and Monkey Mia while your there.. Drive form Perth to Broome if you've got the time, follow the coast!
