Travel Info I only have 2 days in Perth, where can I go that 11 and 12 yrs old kids will enjoy? Travel Tips For shopping Harbour town is an outlet centre where some great bargains can be had. Scitech discovery centre in City West is fantastic fun for kids and adults alike. Perth Zoo is a short ferry trip from Barrack Street in Perth where you can see the Bell tower if you are interested. AQWA is further out, but is great. An aquarium that includes a touch pool and some really amazing sea creatures. A touch pool is there as well. Fremantle has some great markets and a cappucino strip to brag about. Food and drinks galore. Mandurah is about an hour south of perth and has a great foreshore for the kids to enjoy and shops in the downtown area. There are 3 free buses from the city that do loops of the city. go to www.transperth.wa.gov.au and look at the CAT (Central Area Transit) services. Others Perth ,, Perth what? There's a Perth Kansas but that would be a joke! if the cash is there, presently world-cup football festa is on in Germany, go there & enjoy all the fun. You can go to Hilary's beach, there are lots of restos there too with yummy fish and chips... And if your kids surf, Scarborough beach seems to be a hangout for boogie boarders, or visit Cottesloe beach... I don't know if they still have night safari at Perth Zoo but go there nonetheless...:D I used to live in Western Aus, you'll love it there! In summer the beach, Scarborough or Cottesloe are good. In winter, AQWA (underwater aquarium) at Sorrento Quay, also Scitech near the city are good. I live in Kwinana, W.A. That is Western Australia for the yanks trying to be comedians. I especially got a laugh at the first response.(not). Since we are answering questions in Australia & New Zealand.. You can take them to Fremantle, Rockingham, Mandurah. There are beachs all along the coast, as well as heaps of things to do with them both North and South of the river. http://www.discoverwest.com.au/fmperth.h... Environment Centre. Definitely. |
