There will be more opportunity in Perth (WA) than in Adelaide (SA) however you will also need to pay more for housing. You should also consider moving out of the major cities to places like Bunbury (WA), Mandurah (WA) and Victor Harbour (SA) where houses are more affordable. If you are migrating and you haven't been there before I would suggest maybe spending time in a few different areas before choosing where to settle -- speak to school principals and parents, real estate agents, check out hospitals and doctors surgeries -- this will give you the information you need to make a more informed decision. Also, what visa will you be travelling on? Make sure that if it is one with restrictions on where you can live and work that you abide by the conditions.
