Make sure you take plenty of water and spare fuel, just in case it's about 4,000kms - (Don't watch Wolf Creek before you go!) Others If you drive via Adelaide, it's about 4,700 km. It would probably take 5 or 6 days of driving 10 hours per day. Most of the land you'll travel through is very remote country. It would be recommended that you're an experienced driver, that you have a car in excellent condition, good maps, plenty of water etc. Unless you -really- want to drive - it's much quicker, cheaper, and easier to fly. I also stand-by the Wolf Creek answer above. as you travel a distance of this magnitude, please consider things as water storage food Tucker n 2Nd companion in your motor(vehicle). duration of the travel shall be determined by your ambitions n urgency of a journey, usually two to three days,Whit decent rest-food brakes common knowlege Dont do the trip on your own unless you are very experienced in long distances at high speed. If you sit at the speed limit, you still get passed by "road trains" (multi-trailered trucks) going faster than you. The long straight road can put you to sleep, and there are other hazard such as our native fauna on the road. There is a lot of distance between stops on the Nullarbor, and very little to see. With the growing price of fuel, and overnight accommodation, a plane or coach trip would be better. Done it, prefer to fly now! It's safe, but it may take up to 4 days depending on the speed you travel and the route you take. It will probably take 4000+ kms to get there, but there are heaps of really great tourist sites and places to see along the way. |
