What's a good farm in Perth for a farm stay? |
Travel Info I'm looking for a place that's kid friendly with activities like horse-riding, animal feeding, collecting eggs from the hens, cow milking and hopefully sheep shearing as well. Any reccomendations? Travel Tips I think there's one in Harvey that does all that, but I can't off the top of my head remember what the name of it is...sorry :P Others My husband and I stayed at Margaret River recently and there are a couple of farm stays there. Margaret River is about 2 1/2 hours drive south from Perth and the countryside is beautiful, especially at this time of year before it gets too hot. There are lots of fun things to do around Margaret River for the whole family. The links below will take you to the three Margaret River Farm stay sites that I found for you.. If you are interested in something a bit more adventurous then try the link to Active Safari's, they do some excellent tours of the south west region including whale watching tours etc. http://www.stayz.com.au/7715 http://www.margaretriverfarmstay.com/... http://www.redgatefarmstay.com.au/... http://www.activesafaris.com.au/... If you don't mind driving 2-3 hours, there is a good farm stay in Bridgetown, south of Perth. I have been there once. They have all and more activities which you want to let your children experience. Please see the web link below. There are TransWA bus routes from Perth/Bunbury to Bridgetown if you don't drive. http://www.lucieville.iinet.net.au/... You can try WIndmill Farm.. they are good and the hosts have ever lived in SG as well. the chicken curry that he cooks is heavenly! :) Just go online and type windmill farm and i think you will be able to find their website.. |
