Will it be difficult for me to find a job?

Travel Info
I am traveling to Australia on the 10th Feb. Unfortunately when I arrive in Perth I will need to find a job. I was considering doing fruit picking, but I know there is high demand for this during the summer months. I will be 25 and am a quaified electrician to British standards.

Travel Tips
Our mining industry is booming. You could ring one of the companies that employs people on minesites. One is called 'Skilled' and ask them about jobs. Check out 'The West Australian' online - www.thewest.com.au .They always have plenty of jobs. Really you'll have no problem at all. Not sure if you are here permanently or just temporarily, but trust me you will have no trouble. If you are here permanently, there is a really high demand for security guards, especially on the trains-not a nice job though. Not sure where you heard that it was hard to get a job fruit picking? From what i hear they are absolutely desperate for people. Good luck and enjoy your stay. I highly recommend Mandurah and Fremantle to visit by the way.

you will find a job very easily .. Perth is great that is where I am from...(now live in London).. try going down to pemberton to do avocado picking the pay is good.. also all the local pubs and yha's take on backpackers... as for being an sparky it depends how long you plan to stay in Perth as to weather you will get a job there...

Go to Rosie O'gradies Northbridge for me and say hi to the manager Adrian... ah I miss him and my pub.....

if you want some contact send me an email Ive got friends around the place...

what ever you do don't do strawberry picking its kills your back and the pay is horrible..
good luck
You didn't say why are you traveling to Australia! Isn't for work?
hey, dont pick fruit, that's for unskilled backpackers.

you're a sparkie....get a job doing that and you'll earn heaps. Make sure you've got one of those 1-year working-tourist visas
check out seek.com.au - heaps of jobs for sparkies
