Thinking of moving to kalgoorlie, hv 2 girls 13,10 have been told not good for family life is this true? |
Travel Info my husband has been offered a job in Kalgoorlie, but everyone is telling me "dont go there" cause it is not good for families and is too rough, can anyone tell me if this is true? Travel Tips kalgoorlies kinda crazy.....my ex and I lived there for a long while he got a job there too. It is quite isolated, hot, dry and it does play its part in your general mood but if you look at it as a short term benefit for your family rather that the very last move you'll ever do in life you can make it work, make sure your partner knows how you feel every step of the way so he can support you through it, because when you're supported, you can be the rock in your family. Hope it helps Others There is rough places all over the world and they can also be nice too. Why don't you check out the highlights of the place. Have these people telling you this actually lived there? How do they know or do they just assume. This is the type of thing you have to figure out yourself because everyone wants and needs are different so I would do a little more research if I were you. Don't get too discouraged. http://www.discoverwest.com.au/western_a... Kalgoolie has its problems just like every town. I have only been there once and found the weather to be very dry and uncomfortably hot. So if you are looking for a place get one with a pool. Also, there is a problem with drunks, who lay on the Island in the middle of road which can be a bit off putting. It is still essentially a mining town, with not much for entertainment, for you guessed it, drinking. Also the delights on Hay St in Kal are world famous - but it certainly isn't a place for young families as yourselves. Good luck. their is something *****y wrong everywhere...move their and see if you like it dont listen to negative people do what makes you happy...happy dayz hey, i don't know about now. But I loved Kalgoorlie / Boulder in the 70 & 80's. It has a lot of interesting places to go and explore. Go for it = children will adapt. Good luck. |
