Travel Tips Kings park definently, margaret River is nice too, if you are here for Jan 26th you should heap down to the swan river for the fireworks to celebrate Australia day-ITS HUGE. definently stay inner city hotel, the pacific is a nice cheap place to stay but if you are after luxury spa rooms then the burswood may be better. You shoud go to Hillaries Boat Harbour for an icecream at night, the boardwalk is a lovely place to walk around. Others I took a day trip to Fremantle which was quite nice. Find the fish and chips store along the beach adjacent to Cliff St. - not as good as the ones I had in Dublin, but definitely the best I had in Australia. I also quite enjoyed Clydesdale Park/Sir James Mitchell park at night- you could see the lit-up skyline of the central business district and it was awesome. Also, Langley park is nice- plenty of cool architecture around the central business district. I didn't go to Heirisson Island, but wanted to the whole time- seems very idyllic. Basically, almost anywhere you go in Perth is awesome. My favourite city in the world next to Seattle! In early evening go up the rotating tower, you need to buy a drink, and they are not cheap, but you can then sit there sipping your drink and watch the sunset all around you as it rotates |
