Travel Tips
I'm in Riverside Gardens which is just behind the hospital and it's the best place in Mandurah as far as I am concerned.
Halls Head is a bit of a dive now(I wouldn't live there if you paid me, the traffic to get into Mandurah is too bad due to the narrow bridge, it bottle necks all the time) but Falcon is OK if you don't mind travelling a bit, the same with Secret Harbour. Out of those 3 you mentioned I would pick Secret Harbour even though technically it's not part of Mandurah.
But to sell you a few points about Riverside Gardens, it's a 5 minute walk for the kids to get to school with no main roads to cross(nice and safe) very close to the hospital in case of emergencies, 5 mins drive from the Centro Forum shoppong centre, ten mins drive from Meadow Springs shopping centre.
The train station is just about finished and that is less than 5 mins drive away, truely you could walk to it if you wanted to, and that makes getting to Perth alot easier.Ten mins drive to the Mandurah city center and a river right behind us which has a boat ramp. Riverside Gardens will not be built up any more than it already is, low density housing. I'm so close to everthing but I don't feel like I live in a city even though we have a population of over 50 000.

BTW, I'm really glad I saw your question as my nieghbour is selling his house, it's on the market right now. To be honest I hate to see him go, he's been a great neighbour for the ten years that we have lived here. It is a corner block but don't let that put you off. It is a 900 sqmt block, 4bed, 2 bath brick and tile home with aircon, swimmimg pool and large outdoor entertaining area. He's asking $450 000. If you are interested send me an email with some details eg phone number and I will pass that onto my nieghbour, we can take some photoes of the house for you or something so you can see what it's like. The estate agent he is using is The Professionals and I have provided the link for them below as well as a few others for you. I hope I've been helpfull, Happy house hunting.
