Ticket questions travel from perth to NZ? |
Travel Info we (there are 4 of us) intend to go to NZ from Perth via couple of days stop off in Sydney on the way.I would like to book soon but do I need to pay for this all up or can I put deposit and pay remainder throughout the year (we plan on november) PLEASE HELP Travel Tips If you are booking through a travel agency, some will let you 'layby' your tickets. Another option is if you book further into the year, and buy vouchers from the travel agency. That way, you can then book and pay for your tickets in one hit. You cannot layby your tickets if you book online. Payment must be made at time of booking this way. Others Talk to your travel agent, that is a strange thing you want to do. You are not taking a direct flight from Perth to NZ (which is cheap), you're actually taking an internal flight (PER-SYD), then an international one-way (SYD-NZ) and another international one-way (NZ-PER). Quite expensive. Take to the travel agent and see which why they can structure the fare for you. You may be able to 'book' the seats and not pay until 2 weeks before. This is very common (I do this all the time). PS. Even if the flights stop off in Syd it's really only a re-fueling stop and not an official "stop over" (to use a ticketing term). A different fare basis applies if you stop over for more than 24 hours. Check with your travel agent. I used to work for a travel agency. pay for as many tickets as you can afford now, then pay the rest later |
