Which suburb of perth is the best for renting value/price/leisure? |
Travel Info we'll (a couple) move to australia next year (2008). Is perth or its suburbs a good choice? which one? what kind of property to rent? what should I do for the first week stay (except hotel of course)? On the other hand, we love sunshine and hate rainy weather. so which other city should be the best for us. Travel Tips south perth is good.near the swan river,you won't miss most of the happenings that are held their all year round. good also for families with small kids. como is also a good one. very quiet but near the other side of swan river. easy to commute since many buses prawl that way. Source(s): been here in south perth for a long time Other Travel Tips too many questions for a short answer....but here goes... long-term investment value still is in oceanside and beachside suburbs and city center...you'd be best off to try rising suburbs in the south (eg coogee) or further south (mandurah) rather than the northern suburbs whcih may have already peaked. can't say much about rentals...everyone here tells me it is getting nearly impossible to rent! sunshine and weather probably unbeatable except possibly by parts of queensland...... also plenty of jobs here! good luck! direct experience....i live in Perth. For any renting questions you need to contact a woman by the name of Christine (I can't remember her last name) from Rayner and Associates in Money Street East Perth. She is FANTASTIC. One of the nicest of nicest people who does NOT treat renters like second class citizens. Perth is the most beautiful city out. I love the place. The only down side is the total feeling of isolation that comes from being there after about 2 years. But apart from that, you will LOVE it. As George said "far too many questions". You must do some research to identify where you prefer to go. The climate variations between the major centres are immense, for example if you like heat and low humidity then perhaps Perth is the place, but be aware that the next big city is around 2000kms away. If you don't like it so hot, then perhaps Melbourne or anywhere in Tasmania. If you like tropical heat and humidity, then Darwin, and so on.......... |
