Perth has hot summers but coastal areas are tempered by the regular seabreeze known locally as the Fremantle Doctor (not a cold front). The average maximum temperature in Perth in January is 30掳C with at least six days above 35掳 and one above 40掳. The hottest temperature recorded in Perth was 46.2掳C. Perth is cool in winter and that is also when most of the rain falls. The average maximum is 17.4掳 in July.

Broome is tropical and is warm all year round. the average maximum in January is 33掳 while it is 28掳 in July. Broome is wet in January, February and March and can get tropical cyclones.

Perth is up and down in the temps all the time they get the fremantle Dr (cold fronts coming thru all the time).
