6/7 day budget amazon tour, Peru?

I'm a female traveller on my own looking for a tour in the amazon, but everything i've found seems to be $1000, plus single supplement. Ideally I'd liked to join a group. Can anyone reccomend a company or way I could do this safely?

I've been to Peru 1 month ago. Don't buy anything in Internet! They always have prices for foreings. The Inca Trail in internet can cost 300 U$ in january, while buying it in Cusco costs 95 U$.
Lonely Planet has prices for American and British. If it says a hostel cost 10U$ it means you can get a hostel for 10 soles (like 3U$)

leave from yurimaguas or pucallpa. take the amazon basin to iquitos. you can fly from all three cities to lima. if you go from yurimaguas take The EDWARDO boat they have the most expeirence. you can string your hammock up for 40sols or $11 or get a room for 200 sols I took it and it was safe. there were 15 other travelers. 4 day for $11 sweet. go to the library and check out lonely planet they have more info
