What can I do in Peru? |
Travel Info I will be travelin to Peru in May for 10 days, and would like to know the sightseeing of that country, and good deal and safery travel. I am 35 years old. Travel Tips IF you don't do anything else, make sure you go to Machu Picchu. It is the most amazing thing I have ever seen in my life. You can either hike there along the Inca Trail (which I definitely recommend if you are in pretty good shape) or you can take a train from Cusco. The hike is cooler because there is a huge buildup as you pass other lesser ruins. Plus guides generally plan it so that you see Machu Picchu for the first time during sunset or sunrise from the sun gate (above Machu Picchu so you see the whole thing) You can also go to Lake Titicaca. I didn't go there, but I have only heard good things about it. Lima isn't that great, the weather is crappy dark and crappy for the majority of the year (its nice in Jan and Feb). I suggest getting out of Lima. |
