Where's nice in peru?

Travel Tips
PERU has several points of interest, depends on how long you are going to stay and when are you going to get the most of your trip.

-Lima (Capital) is very much as NYC, traffic, people, stores, but lots of museums and turistic attractions, bull fighting is popular in October. Pubic transportation takes you anywhere (check with the locals to get the bus fare, so you pay the right amount). Movie theaters are very nice (the ones in or near Malls). Museo de Oro is a must see.

-Paracas and Nazca in Ica, Paracas is a Marine Reserve very nice and educative. At Nazca you will see "Lineas de Nazca" are drawings on land, you have to take a small airplane to look at them!

-Huaraz is very nice, you can go treking, see glaciars, lakes, it is very high though.

-Trujillo, if you are interested in archeological sites and beautifull beaches.

-Puno, to visit a floating town on the Titicaca Lake, the deepest lake on earth.

-Cuzco (Macchu Picchu, Sacsaihuaman, Traditional Markets, Inca trail, etc). and Arequipa (Convents, Misty Volcano, Colca Canyon, etc.) are very popular places to visit.

-Rainforest destinations as Tambopata, or Candamo are AWESOME but, check on the weather, some months is very dangerous because of the rains. Be prepared to travel for hours in a canoe to get there. I wouldn't recomend it if you have delicate health conditions as Hospitals are far away.

Take lots of film with you, or purchase them in a supermarket in Lima, at some places is difficult to get film and batteries.

Have fun! Source(s): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/image:nazca...

Other Travel Tips
Nice is in France..not Peru.
Machu Picchu
Peru is nice everywhere. You got in the coastline beautiful beaches and the best waves ever. In the mountains you got machu pichu and diferent towns that are beautil. And in the jungle there is the amazon river(where u can get on a boat and do turism in it) also there are diferent native tribes that you can visit. Just need to decided what would you like to see when you want to come to Peru.

you can get info in : www.peru.org.pe
My favourite was the Incas trail, ending up in Machu Pichu.
Cusco is a fun city with loads to do at night, and any historic churches and ruins to visit nearby.
Also loved Lake Titicacca, and the Amazon. Colca Canyon (condor viewing) is supposed to be great, although we couldn't go because of a general strike.
There are some nice islands of the coast south of Lima, where you can see penguins and marine mammals
A typical 10 day trip in Peru could be

DAy 1: Lima
Day 2: Lima-Arequipa
Day 3: Colca Canyon and the COndors
Day 4: Arequipa to Juliaca; drive to Puno; cruise on Lake Titicaca+ Sillustani ruins; stay at the Eco Inn in Puno
Day 5: Juliaca to Cusco; acclimatise
Day 6 to Day 9: Inca trail to Machu Picchu; train from Aguas calientes back to Cusco
Day 10: Cusco to Lima; night flight back to US

This was a great trip for us and we maximised time by taking LAN peru internally and it is very reasonably priced.
