How far can you travel by road from Iquitos (Peru)?

You still can't get very far from Iquitos...Perhaps only three of four hours at the most. If you plan to go to any major city like Cajamarca, Trujillo, Arequipa, Cuzco, you'll need to fly.

you can get out of there only by plain, or by boat (to Tarapoto or Pucallpa, in the second one there are bus to Lima)
