Distance from iquitos, peru to cuzco, peru? |
Travel Info Distance from iquitos, peru to cuzco, peru? Travel Tips 1080 km or 671 miles Air: You can get to Iquitos easily by air. As the largest jungle city, and the center for oil and tourism, Iquitos is served by local flights from Lima and other Peruvian cities, plus international flights from Miami on Compania De Aviacion Faucett, and Caballococha on the border with Colombia with TANS airline. Most travelers fly into Lima on any of the international airlines, then take a domestic flight on AeroPer煤, AeroContinente, or Americana to Iquitos. They also fly in from Pucallpa, Tarapoto, Trujillo and Chiclayo. Land: Not recommended. However, once in Iquitos, there are taxis, buses and trucks, plus motorcyle taxis called motocarros. You'll find them at stands around the Plaza 28 de Julio. Source(s): http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/di... http://gosouthamerica.about.com/library/... Other Travel Tips Just to expand a bit on what the previous answer said: In practice the only regular flights to Iquitos are from Lima, some with stopovers in Tarapoto (which is a nice little town, by the way). If you're wanting to get to Cusco you'll have to fly back to Lima first. The other alternative is to get the slow boat up the Ucayali to Iquitos. This will take you about 2 weeks but it's a really interesting journey and a good way to see some of the real Peru. You can get to the river in about a day from Cusco. Hope this helps!
