The flower has the same colours as the flag of Bolivia, or perhaps I should rephrase that, the flag has the same colours as the flower, anyway, it's the national flower, Cantua buxifolia. This illustrates how the Incas not only cultivated corn and potatoes, but were also quite advanced in the improvement of ornamental plants. We also received the Dahlia and the Fuchsia from them.
