How long should we plan on seeing Lima, Peru? |
Travel Info We're flying into Lima and then two weeks later back to the States from Quito. Travel Tips 2 days is enough Others depends on what u wanna see in Lima, if u wanna see museums, beach, and some sightseeing i suggest about a 4-5 days. If you have only 2 weeks until getting to Quito, you shouldnt spend more than 3 days there. I advice you to go to Miraflores/Barranco/San Isidro since the other parts of Lima are dangerous, be careful when taking a Taxi in Lima, make sure its a legitimate taxi. If you dont know Spanish, i would even cut my stay shorter, and not leave the areas I just named, If you do, You should consider visiting the Plaza in the center, and Cerro Colorado(tours leave from the Plaza) Plan your trip well, there are so many nice points to the north, dont spend more than a day in Lima if you are going to the north by bus. Actually you should spend like 2 or 3 days depending on your final destination. You should visit restaurants and specially seafood restaurants. This is the right season to seat and relax. Peruvian cuisine quality has been notable recognized during the last years so make sure you don't miss to taste these dishes: Ceviche, Tiradito de Lenguado (Sunfish), Lomo Saltado and Aji de Gallina. Also don't miss to drink Pisco Sour. About places don't miss Plaza Mayor, Miraflores' Cafes and Larcomar's nightlife. Local |
