Can anyone recommend any good hotels in Cusco, Peru?

Travel Info
I'm looking for something that's around 75-120 US located in the center of town. Also any recommendations on where to stay in Maccu Piccu

Travel Tips
The hotels in Cuzco keep changing names so can't be sure what to recommend there. I've heard from people in Cuzco that the Novotel is good and reliable (about $120 now).

I note that OAT Travel is using the Don Carlos hotel, which means it's at least decent, and the price is about half the Novotel. It seems a bit far from the Plaza de Armas.

If (when?) we return, I'd be tempted to try the Picoaga. It looks interesting and well-located. Unless, of course, we win the lottery. Then I'd definitely give the Monasterio a try (or maybe El Libertador.

I would suggest, however, that you choose the Machu Picchu Pueblo Inn, even though it is quite expensive now. It is not the one at the top, but getting there on the bus is part of the fun. Source(s): 3 visits to the Sacred Valley ... http://jackmaryetc.com/travel/americas/p...
