Going to peru from ecuador to extend stay?

Travel Info
hi i was wondering if your visa for ecuador expires. can you go to
peru to get an extension on your visa. and if so how long can it last? also how many times can you do it?

Travel Tips
I think that is possible. At least I have some friends who actually did it inversely. They are Brazilian and they have to leave Peru every 6 months I believe, so what they do is to travel to Ecuador for an entire weekend everytime their visas are about to expire (they don't go to Brazil because going to Ecuador is cheaper). I'm assuming that the same occurs to Ecuador since their laws are very alike. Source(s): I'm from Peru

Other Travel Tips
you just have to leave ecuador and return the next day and you will have a new visa.
but why not spend more time in peru its much more interesting and there is a lot more to do.
