What is the cheapest way to receive money from Peru?

Travel Info
I go to school in Atlanta and i need my parents to send me money for my tuition every semester.

Travel Tips
Usually people use either a courier agency or a financial institution, but I would recommend using either your bank account or visa card. Just have them make a deposit into your bank account (with a Visa or Mastercard logo) and you get the money at an ATM, or if you have a Visa card, have them deposit the money into your Visa account.
Otherwise, many times a travel/courier agency can be a good option. I, personally, don't like using Western Union. There is a better and faster company called Dolex, which I have used and it's very efficient, secure and fast.

Other Travel Tips
Western union.
Do a wire transfer thru their bank to yours. If not that's not available, use Western Union. They're pretty much everywhere in the world and you can send money via their services.
Western Union is indeed the safest and most efficient way to send money, indeed you'll be able to get it within 15 minutes of your parents sendin it. However, there's a minimum $12 cost in sending, and that fee goes up for larger sums of money.

Girasol is cheaper, but they're not as reliable and I've had problems with them before. They're also not as well known.

According to the commercials on the television channel Sur Peru, which is channel America in Peru, Interbank offers wire exchange services to their clients. I'm not sure of their fees or if they'll send cash to other banking entities, but they claim to be a cheaper alternative to money transfers.

Hope that helps.
