It all depends on where you are traveling from.
Lately internet websites beat travel agencies prices, but sometimes you will be able to find some agencies that have agreements with specific airlines, and then you can get a good deal.
Like I said before, it all depends on where you are flying from.
I go there at least twice a year, and most of the time buy tickets directly from aa.com or lan.com, due to the fact that I am flying from California. Believe me, I am psycho about getting the best price I can get, and I make sure it happens that way. Source(s): Very frequent flyer.

as far as I can see Air Madrid flies to Lima.
it is best to fly out of miami or at least the cheapest. try www.taca.com
The cheapest airline to Peru is Taca, followed by LanPeru. If you decide to travel right now from San Francisc to Lima, the tickets with Taca should be around $1k, while LanPeru sells them at $1.4k
Other airlines such as United or AA might charge you up to $1.5k or $1.6k.

Assuming by your email address that you're travelling from Israel you will probably find that the cheapest way for you is a cheap flight to Spain and then an Avianca flight from Madrid via Bogota. In my experience, the AirMadrid flights look cheap but it's because they are advertised without taxes - once you add all these on they start to look much less competitive.
