Travel Info I am 11 but by time I go to Peru I'll be 12 and I need some help. I am going to Peru by my self to see my family for the very first time. I need to know what I need and what I should do with my family like were should we go or something like that. Travel Tips Peru is a unique country. Here you will find not only the famous Inca ruins of Machu Picchu, but also the Amazon Rainforest; magical Lake Titicaca; the mysterious Nazca Lines; the beautiful Canyon of Colca and the majestic Andes. Lima, the capital of Peru, was once the capital of the Spanish Empire and has well preserved colonial architecture and the most renowned restaurants in South America. Top Cities in PeruLima Machu Picchu Arequipa Miraflores Cusco Ica Trujillo Iquitos Urubamba Huaraz San Isidro Lake Titicaca, which straddles Peru's border with Bolivia, is the highest navigable lake in the world -- and one of the most beautiful. The Inca ruins of Machu Picchu, which would be stunning anywhere, are truly spectacular in their Andean setting, high above the Urubamba River. And Cuzco, once the center of the Inca empire and now a vibrant gateway to Inca Related Information Popular Attractions in Peru Machu Picchu Parque El Olivar Plaza Italia Catedral de Lima Parque de las Leyendas (El) Sacsayhuaman Plaza Mayor Korikancha Museo e Iglesia de San Francisco Miraflores Further details from site shown as source. VRYou don't mention what city you will be traveling to; however, there are three places that I feel are a must see. 1) Machu Picchu-a wonder to the world today as to who were these people that built this city high up in the Andes and where did they dissapper to; 2) Cusco-credited as being the home of the Inca's, and 3) Lake Titicaca-the highest navigable lake in the world, 13,500 feet, that is home to Sun Island and believed by the Amayra Indians to be the birthplace of the Inca Empire. I did not know 12 year olds could fly alone internationally. You should probably read between now and then as much as you can about the country but first find a responsible adult to go with you. well if u r going just for spring brake, probably u wont have much time to go an take a trip to Cuzco or archiological places...so since there it will be summer probably u guys can go to the beach located on the south part of Lima...rent a place and go to eat around...i hope this help u....any question, just email or go and check out www.peru.com....hope u have fun in Peru 100% peruvian Be careful!!! |
