Has anyone heard of the Bruce Peru Volenteer Organisation?

Travel Tips
Yes, I've heard of it. Some things good and some things bad. It seems to have mixed reviews from the travelling community.

It had considered going to volunteer with them. However, when I got to South America I realised that it was possible to volunteer in orphanages and schools in cities without paying a sum of money and organising it beforehand. All these places need help and as long as you have more than a few weeks to spare, they are happy for you to turn up and volunteer your time.
In saying that, you'll have to stay in a hostel nearby and cover your own bed and board but that is more economical than trusting these charity organisations with your money.
