Has anyone visited the old inka mountain machu picchu in peru? what kind of feeling did you get?

Travel Tips
The experience is, to say the less, magnificent. Machu Picchu is nested atop this abrupt mountain, perfectly integrated to the flora and fauna of the cloud forest, which is the predominant ecosystem in the lower, eastern slopes of the Andes.

Besides admiring the architecture and the natural beauty of the place, you'll probably feel some connection to the people who built the place -and actually lived here. It's sort of inevitable to wonder how they managed to bring the enormous rocks up there (Incas didn't know the wheel!), and what kind of life they lived, isolated as they were from the "world" (that is, Cusco city).

In any case, Machu Picchu is a unique, marvelous experience. Source(s): http://www.theperuguide.com/machu_picchu...

Other Travel Tips
The Inca ruins of Machu Picchu are simply spectacular. You feel at the top of the world high in the Andes, walking the paths of ancient civilizations. If you like adventure and Eco tourism, and are not expecting triple A accommodations and services, the trip is inexpensive and something worth seeing. Peru is trying to have Machu Picchu recognized as one of The Wonders of The World, I think the 7th or 8th, I lost track of them. I hope you get to see it in person.
i thing is impossible to describe kind of feeling you get there just is amazing
try to get this experience
Completely, utterly, hopelessly awed. I did not want to come back. I would describe it as "majestic" more than anything else. Just to touch the rocks that people worked on so long ago gave me a feeling as if I could almost reach out and connect to them.
It is an amazing place that is quite breathtaking! You feel like you're IN a National Geographic photo! Just give yourself a day in Cuzco to adjust to altitude. Cuzco is higher so once you have your bearings there, you will be fine in Machu Picchu!
