Machu pichu!?

ive heard that there is a 4 day trrek to pichu... is it so? has anyone else been and will i get to ride a llama!? do llamas have 2 heads or was that just in dr doolitle? is it a myth?

I just booked this trip and plan to hike in July. Reservations must be made, as they do only allow so many people on the trail at one time. There are many different groups that book this trip. I don't believe there are any to ride a horse/mule, it is using your own two legs! The most popular is the 4 day hike, you can have porters who help carry tents/sleeping bags/food/etc. Each day you hike 6-9 miles, the 2nd day being the most difficult with 2 passes and 14,000 ft!

Are you seriously asking if there is a 2 headed Llama like the "push me pull you" , I think it was called, in Dr Dolittle? I am sure you are joking so I will just say that it is possible you might get to ride a Llama, yes.
I have been to Machu Pichu.But only in my mind and on PBS.I would go to PBs.org and look for programs like 'National Geographic Explorer'.
Llamas can only carry 20kgs. Forget riding them for transport, mind you ........
There is a 3, 4 and 5 day trek to MP. Must be booked in advance. The 4 day is the best unless you are super fit. They all take the same route, you must go with a guide and only some amny people are allowed at one time. Best time to go is End of september
