Why are ecuador, peru, and bolivia a region?

Travel Tips
The spanish section of South america.
Dont forget that there are french, british and Portugese colonies in south america also.
Others
Due to their geogrphical, linguistic, historical and socio-economic similarities.
I have no idea about Ecuador but I know it is North of Peru, just above it, if you look at the map of South America. Then, Bolivia is just SE of Peru. In fact it shares the Lake Titicaca with Peru (one half of the lake belongs to Peru and the other half to Bolivia). A friend who is originally from Bolivia told me that Peruvian culture and foods etc are so similar to those of Bolivia.
Because all of them (including Colombia) are part of the Andean Community, an organization who looks for full integration between those countries

They are all part of the Andean region. Look at any topographical map and you'll see why.
